This isn't a "freezer" recipe, but it's a good & easy mix! This bread mix really does taste like Tastefully Simple's beer bread mix but without the co$t. It comes tweaked from an allrecipes mix recipe. :)
"Beer"Bread Mix
3 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 can Vernor's Ginger Ale (we don't buy beer in our home)
1/4 c. melted butter
Mix first 3 ingredients together in bowl. Pour in greased loaf pan. Pour butter on top. Bake @ 375F for 45-55 minutes until golden brown on top. Great with apple butter or cut up into cubes with a cheese/spinach dip.
You can also add some jalapenos and cheddar cheese to the mix and serve it with chili. Mmmm!
